Recent master planning projects include the Roosevelt Roads Redevelopment in Puerto Rico, the Heart of Hyde Park 53rd Street/Harper Court mixed use redevelopment plan, the Lake Meadows Redevelopment Master Plan, McCormick Place Convention Center and District Expansion, and the Lake Park Crescent mixed-income residential redevelopment on Chicago’s south side. In addition, recent development manager and/or program manager projects include the national rebranding, renovation and expansion of the Bally Total Fitness Corporation chain and the managing of the design and development process for crafting A Missouri Adventure, the Doris I. Schnuck Children’s Garden at the Missouri Botanical Garden.

As a senior designer in the Planning and Urban Design Studio, Mr. Brangle was responsible for all aspects of the master planning efforts, from site investigation and analysis, conceptual design and site planning to infrastructure and design guidelines. He worked on a variety of domestic and international projects ranging from large urban district planning to small suburban campus planning. Mr. Brangle’s experience includes a variety of entertainment and redevelopment planning efforts for many downtown centers including the $2 billion proposal for an urban casino/entertainment district in Chicago, the St. Louis Riverfront Entertainment District proposal, and the downtown sports and entertainment district for Detroit.

Kim Goluska founded the Chicago Consultants Studio, Inc, a master development group, to pursue urban initiatives in the form of urban design and master development consultation, with specialized expertise in urban residential, master development, tourism/entertainment and mixed-use projects for a wide range of public and private sector partners.
As part of his professional expertise, Mr. Goluska maintains involvement with civic and professional associations, adjunct teaching professorships, lectures and speaking engagements. This enriches the urban design contribution to individual projects with the combined resources and experience from the practical, civic, community, and academic sectors.
Mr. Goluska’s portfolio at CCS includes representing the City of Chicago, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Walt Disney Imagineering, Park Place Entertainment, Bally Total Fitness, The University of Chicago, Draper and Kramer, Hyatt Development and the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority. With CCS, Mr. Goluska has undertaken developments in almost every major US city, the Caribbean, several European countries and the Middle East.
In addition to the master planning and implementation of the expansion/enhancement of Chicago’s McCormick Place convention center and the transformative redevelopment of one of Chicago’s public housing project into a vibrant, mixed-income neighborhood called Lake Park Crescent, CCS has undertaken the role of Development Manager and/or Program Manager on a number of projects.

As a Partner, Mr. Goluska was responsible for directing a wide range of domestic and international planning and urban design projects. Mr. Goluska had been involved in project site planning for office, residential and mixed-use development and central area plans across the country, including the award winning Dearborn Park residential development which initiated the revitalization of Chicago’s South Loop neighborhood.
Mr. Goluska directed the master planning for the 12.4 million square foot financial center on Canary Wharf in London’s Docklands. Designed as a new district within the industrial east end of London, and comprised of over 20 individual development parcels, the master plan involved a full scale, multi-disciplinary team of design and engineering professionals in the United States and England. Other international efforts brought Mr. Goluska to Spain, Germany, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, the Middle East and the Far East.
With a strong focus on major urban developments, Mr. Goluska as an SOM Partner directed the master planning and conceptual development of several of the most significant planning initiatives in Chicago in recent history: the proposed Lake Calumet International Airport, the $2 billion proposal for a casino/entertainment center in downtown, and the master development plan for the 1995 South Hall and 2005 West Hall of Chicago’s McCormick Place complex.
